Homestead History Day

Head to the French Legation State Historic Site for Homestead History Day and experience Texas’ homestead era by exploring one of the oldest homes in Austin.

This family-friendly Homestead History event will feature live folk music throughout the day, period-accurate lawn games and hands-on activities, from candle making and butter churning to doll making and plein air painting.

There will even be a petting zoo. Standard admission ($7) to enter the petting zoo and onsite historic structures is required.
