Rodeo Austin’s Kick Open the Chutes

Have you ever wondered what it felt like to walk on the dirt of a real rodeo arena or stand inside the barrel of a true rodeo clown? Then Rodeo Austin´s Kick Open the Chutes: Party on the Dirt gives you the perfect chance! Your ticket provides a sneak peek into rodeo action with a behind-the-scenes experience for true rodeo fans.
Rodeo Austin´s Kick Open the Chutes takes place the night before our fifteen-day Fair & Rodeo officially opens its gates for 2023. It is a pre-season party on the dirt! Tickets are general admission and grant guests access to select behind-the-scenes areas of the Main Arena, including the arena floor. Food for purchase will be available from some of our favorite local food trucks and cash bars will be open for guests over 21 years of age. Guests will also enjoy two live music concerts on the arena floor.

This party takes place on the dirt of the arena floor – please dress accordingly and wear appropriate shoes. Wear your boots and help us Kick Open the Chutes!
Kick Open the Chutes is a fundraiser for the Rodeo Austin mission. Rodeo Austin is a not-for-profit that provides real experiences and gritty fun to raise millions for Texas kids. Since 1938, we´ve been a mission with a rodeo that has brought heritage and entertainment to our community.
