Join us for a journey into the world of tabletop RPGs!
This show celebrates the real-life friendships forged during epic fantasy quests.
Follow us, if you dare, into the world of “Roll to Improvise,” an improv show featuring current Hideout students and recent graduates, that takes you on a nostalgic quest through the realms of friendship, fantasy, and the beloved game of Dungeons & Dragons.
Here there be wizards, bards, rogues and paladins testing their mettle against whatever challenges lie ahead! Are you prepared? Don´t worry, we´ll be with you all the way!
At the top of the show we´ll ask the audience for ideas of how a group of friends came together. Using the audience´s suggestions, we seamlessly transition between the real-life players and their fantastical counterparts, uncovering the intricate dynamics of their friendship through the lens of their favorite game.
One of the most anticipated moments of “Roll to Improvise” is the unveiling of the giant D20 (20-sided die). Critical rolls and pivotal moments are punctuated by the iconic roll of this oversized die, adding an extra layer of immersion and excitement to the show.
The cast of “Roll to Improvise” brings a wealth of personal experiences and perspectives to the show. Throughout the show they´ll build strong relationships among their characters that really make you invest as the story while also dabbling into mischief and fun, creating characters like goblins, ogres or gelatinous cubes for their fellow cast members to play.
While improv is inherently unpredictable, “Roll to Improvise” takes this concept to new heights. With four shows and four distinct Dungeon Masters, each performance promises a different feel, vibe, pace, and theme, ensuring that every visit is a fresh and exciting adventure.
