  1. I wrote off Pinthouse Pizza as mediocre years ago. It was recommended by locals, so I had some sausage pizza, which was probably my mistake because that’s not my fav.

I had no choice but to give them another shot when meeting a group for dinner, so I ordered the Honey Pear, minus the prosciutto and onions. It was essentially a white pizza with pear, bleu cheese, basil, and honey. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Their crust is a nice thickness and has good chew. The toppings were such a great combination together. If fruit on pizza seems weird, I’d definitely say that the pear is subtle. With a glass of prosecco, it was the perfect meal.

I also had a slice of the Ooh La La, which was a red sauce pizza with arugula, pepperoni, honey, and peppers. It was pretty good, but not on the same level as the Honey Pear. But now I’m definitely excited for the next time I get to come back! Between Pinthouse and Via 313, Austin has some strong pizza options.

  2. Reliable Pizza, Great Crust, Good Bar Staff, Quick Food. Happy Hour Beer Prices are amazing and the overall environment is great.

They could have better / more seating and maybe some table top games? But over all the environment is good for all ages!

Heads Up: You can order food at the bar so skip the pizza line and order your pizza with your first round! We love the Electric Jellyfish and Man ‘o War IPA’s if you’re looking for a solid delicious beer.

In regards to pizza, I always order the Honey Pear which is amazingggg and then recently got The Works which did NOT disappoint!

I also spent my birthday there this past October, so if that says anything — well, I recommend the place!

    Pizza: 8.5/10
    Staff: 7/10
    Parking: 7/10
    Happy Hour: 10/10
    Environment: 10/10

  4. My son and I come here almost every Saturday to grab some brews, and some pizza. The place is generally packed, because everything is so good. Service is great. They offer about thirty different beers, some brewed in house, and some from other breweries. They offer a variety of pizzas, salads, and appetizers, all are reasonably priced. Worthy of a bookmark and a try if you’re passing through or if you live or work nearby.

  5. We were first timers and everyone enjoyed their food experience! My only knock on the place is having to place your food order in one liken and then having to go to the bar for your beer order. We are at the restaurant in between peak times, so we didn’t wait long. However, we did see the line grow while we were there.

Salad: the Sundance! So good and really enough for 2 people to share. My husband and I both ordered one and next time we are sharing.

Beer: hibiscus cider was tasty and not too sweet like your typical cider. My husband tried the GF beer which tasted like a Hefeweizen to me. It was good!

    Pizzas:
Kid Friendly Cheese and Pepperoni: the kids loved it! They generally love all pizza but both raved on the crust of this one!

Honey pear on GF crust: this was awesome! I don’t like blue cheese so I had that removed but this pizza was so flavorful. The other big standout was the crispness of the crust. This was the first time I enjoyed a crispy crust. Usually GF crust is soft and limp.

Cannonball: my husband prefers this and loved it. My oldest child also tried and loved it. It really is a meat fest so who wouldn’t enjoy it?

The ambiance is just what we expected and desired. We wanted to watch some football and drink some beer.

  6. Wanting to try something new and unique, I was told to stop into this beauty and now I can’t wait to go back! I had an Arugula pizza that tasted amazing. From the tasty sauce, delicious crust and amazing cheese, I loved every single bite of this pizza.

The restaurant itself was clean and modern. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I will obviously return.

  7. Upon walking in, I see a sign that says to grab a menu and seAt yourself. Once your ready to order head to the bar. Nice bar located in the center of the place. There are s few games inside and enough space if you have a big group.

Plenty of selection of beer on tap. Complimentary serving of original tortilla chips, does not come with salsa or queso but you can order that off the menu.
Bartender took our order right away. You get a buzzer when ur food is ready.

We ordered the banh mi pizza and shroomin’ goat pizza with pepperonis added. I really liked the crust, it was crispy and not soggy. The banh mi pizza was just ok, I got the banh mi fast but I was hopping for more of a banh mi meat flavor. I think the only reason why it reminded me of a banh mi is because of the pickled veggies and cilantro. The shrooming goat pizza was yummy, especially when you dip it with their ranch.

Service was good. The place was clean.

  9. I’ve visited both of their locations in Austin area and I enjoy both. Pizza, salad, beer, and games offers a great variety of fun.

Food: If you love a great pizza and what seems like endless variety of beer, then this is the place for you. I really enjoy The Works pizza and because I’m not really a beer drinker, I must get advice from my friends that their beer is good with it being freshly brewed behind the restaurant. The salad is fresh, pizzas are freshly prepared and offer a great size for the price. This was my first time having their chip and queso and it was delightful.

Service: Their service is not like normal restaurant setup, but the cashier and the bar tender were very pleasant. I noticed staff walking around cleaning areas after guest left and the bar tenders was willing to assist with any questions you might have had about their beers.

Overall: I would highly recommend you visiting their two locations. They provide great music, great for game night or Monday night football, great pizza and especially beer. I can’t wait until my next visit. I wish them well in the future.

  10. 1st time comer and i am impressed! The inside looks really cool( but if you get cold easily then bring a jacket). There are games and very spacious.

    Now to the food:
I got the pizza roll as an appetizer and it was pretty great
I got thee cannonball pizza(small) it is a great size and definitely shareable.

The staff was friendly and ready to provide recommendations

Next time i need to try the beer! I heard you have to try the electric jellyfish!

    Will definitely go back!
