Birds Barbershop Relocates East 6th Shop, Offers $6 off Cuts the First 6 Days for Charity

Birds Barbershop is celebrating the relocation of its East 6th shop to 1401 E. 6th St. with a special promotion of $6 off haircuts the first 6 days of business, starting Fri., March 1 through Wed., March 6, 2024. A portion of proceeds from the opening week will be donated to benefit the historic preservation organization Six Square.

The new location is conveniently located two blocks west of the original shop, which first opened 16 years ago in 2008. Customers can expect the same great stylists and services, but in a brand new space that now offers validated customer parking.

Design for the new shop features large black and yellow interior murals by Bryan Keplesky, reminiscent of his work in the original East 6th location. Architecture for the six-chair shop was helmed by Mark Odom Studio with construction by Franklin Alan, both Austin mainstays who have worked together on four other Birds locations.
