Svani Quintanilla, known by his stage name Principe Q, is the visionary behind Screwmbia-a modern twist on cumbia that blends its signature rhythms with trap drums and slowed-down beats. He pioneered this genre alongside DJ King Louie as part of the duo Royal Highness. Honoring his family´s musical legacy, he continues the innovation once championed by his aunt, Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, in the ´80s and ´90s.
Roleros Cosmicos is a Cosmic Cumbia Reggae band in Austin, Texas with members from Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Brownsville, Texas, and the greater cosmos. Bringing a mixture of different flavors to the table, Roleros has been jamming since November 2013.
Mexstep is a rapper, producer, DJ, and scholar based in San Antonio, Texas. He performs as a solo artist and is a member of the hip hop group Third Root. Along with his artistic work, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Race, Ethnicity, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio and researches Black and Brown cultural and political overlap.
Luciri blends genres in English & Spanish, inspired by her Puerto Rican and Mexican roots.
