DUB EQUIS is a stage name and collaborative music project created by Derek Moorhead, an Austin-based producer, musician and DJ. Core band members include Moorhead (Production/Composition, Beats, Bass Guitar, Synths), Corinne Zappler (Viola), Tina Bartolucci (Sax) and Tim Ochsenreither (Live Drums). Spanning multiple genres (Abstract Hip-Hop, Drum & Bass, Dub), the production combines electronic beats and synths with acoustic drums, viola, saxophone, piano and heavy effects. DUB EQUIS also features various rappers and vocalists from the Austin music scene, including Mista Mozes, Ben Buck, Blacklight, iLL Sill and more.
