Facundo’s Night Out: Austin Weird Edition
Join us for an evening of eclectic creativity at the return of Facundo’s Night Out on Saturday, October 12th, at Flamingo Cantina-the very place where this multimedia variety show first took root in 2006. This edition, themed “Austin Weird,” celebrates the city´s vibrant and unconventional spirit through a dynamic mix of music, art, film, and more.
The night will feature:
J Serrato, a staple of the Austin music scene, blending space jazz, funk, and beyond in his signature style.
Evelyn Brown, Berklee-trained singer-songwriter and daughter of Austin legend Eugene Brown, delivering an intimate acoustic set.
Sergio Carvajal-Leoni (aka Facundo), a multidisciplinary media maker performing new songs alongside Brett Zadlo and previewing scenes from his upcoming documentary What´s Wrong with Mr. Danger.
Mario Troncoso, an Emmy® award-winning filmmaker, presenting a sneak peek of his upcoming series City of Songs.
Patrick Fagerberg, the infamous artist known for his striking and thought-provoking pieces, will showcase one of his latest works.
S.C. Says, an award-winning slam poet known for his engaging and powerful performances, exploring themes of identity, resilience, and human connection.
The Holden Brothers, creative masterminds Josh and Nick, will be performing music and screening a clip from their upcoming feature film.
Plus, enjoy the participation of other creatives.
As we honor Austin´s “weird,” we´ll also pay tribute to unsung local heroes-Eugene Brown, Chris Vanderslice, and Steve Simon-whose creative legacies continue to inspire.
