Holiday Screening of Gremlins with Can I Kick It?

The CAN I KICK IT? Downtown Austin Movie Series continues on Saturday, December 13 at Republic Square with a screening of the classic holiday film “Gremlins”.
At each event movies will be scored live (scene-by-scene) with a blend of Hip Hop, Soul, Rock and more mixed by DJ 2-Tone Jones. The result is a live, remixed soundtrack to the movies using music to complement the dialogue and story line while also incorporating special DJ techniques to accentuate elements in different scenes.
The events are free for all ages and open to the public. Festivities kick off at 7pm with an opening DJ set, followed shortly after by the film at 8pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. Food trucks and other amenities will be on site!
