Holy Islands “Happier Before” Album Release Show

Austin Artist Chris Evans is hosting an album release party for his first-ever EP, “Happier Before,” on Thursday, Jan. 16 at The Cathedral (located at 2403 East 16th Street Austin, Texas 78702) from 7 – 9 p.m. that evening.

After playing the new EP, Evans will host a Q&A about the creation of the album, then do a stripped-down live set including a handful of songs off “Happier Before” for attendees.

Each track off the new EP serves as a reflection on life, love, loss, personal growth, and the bittersweet journey of self-discovery. Evans’ own experience with mental health, addiction, and complicated family dynamics have heavily influenced his sound, which is a masterful blend of soulful, ambient, psychedelic Americana.

Evans plans to drop his debut EP under his stage name Holy Islands the following day on Jan. 17, 2025.
