Dead Love Club is an Austin-based electronic/new wave rock band, and “80’s Obsession” is their dedicated tribute show built entirely around the MTV era. It’s a high-energy dance party taking you “back to the future” of early 1980s dance and new wave, designed to get the whole room moving.
The set focuses on top-tier chart-toppers from the decade. 80’s Obsession features Top 10 hits from 80’s MTV-era chart toppers such as A Flock Of Seagulls, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, New Order, The Cure, Billy Idol and many more. The band leans into the era’s synth-driven sound and often encourages period costumes and full retro immersion at its shows.
