Myth & Melody: February Masterworks Series Concert

Next, Jacobs-Perkins takes center stage for Bloch´s powerful “Schelomo,” a deeply emotional, Hebraic rhapsody that showcases the cello´s voice like few works can.
The program continues with the spirited Polka and Fugue from Weinberger´s “Schwanda, the Bagpiper” and concludes with the iconic rhythms and soaring melodies of Bernstein´s Symphonic Dances from “West Side Story,” a vibrant, unforgettable finale to a dynamic evening.
