Nané Day Celebration

Nané, the beloved Austin-based band, is thrilled to announce the official celebration of “Nané Day” on April 7th, 2024, at Empire Control Room & Garage. This commemorative event promises to be an unforgettable evening of music, remembrance, and celebration in honor of Daniel Sahad, a cherished member and lead singer of the Nané family.

In 2022, the City of Austin designated April 7th as “Nané Day,” but the celebration was cut short by the loss of Dan shortly after. Now, two years later, Nané is determined to properly honor his memory and celebrate his life in the way he would have wanted.

The event will kick off with an opening performance by the talented Jefferson Clay, setting the stage for a heartfelt celebration. Nané will then take the stage for the first time since 2022, joined by Quentin Arispe of The Past Lives on lead vocals. Presented by KUTX, a portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Sims Foundation.

“This performance will give us the chance to truly have fun and celebrate the music,” says Ian Green, Nané’s co-creator and guitarist. “We’ll be performing basically every song in the Nané catalog, plus a few surprises.”

The evening wouldn’t be possible without the support of sponsors KUTX, Dulce Vida Tequila, Still Austin Whiskey, Titos, and Clean Cause, as well as the dedicated individuals behind the scenes.

Join Nané and friends at Empire Control Room & Garage on April 7th, 2024, for a night filled with music, memories, and moments of joy. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through the link in Nané’s bio. Let it rip, let it roar.
