Comics include Rich Talarico (Key & Peele, SNL, MADtv), Mike MacRae (Letterman, Howard Stern Show), Rochelle McConico (Lysistrata Festival, Austin Chronicle’s Best of Austin)
Yola Jean Lu is a comedian, actress and writer. She has been seen performing at the Bumbershoot Comedy + Arts Festival in Seattle, and the Comedy Comedy Festival in Los Angeles. She is also one of the founding members of the award winning improv troupe, Y’all We Asian, who have won two B. Iden Payne awards, and been in festivals like SF Sketchfest and the Del Close Marathon. She is also the 2022 winner of the Austin Chronicle’s “Best Actress” award. When she isn’t performing stand up or improv around town, she is promoting her new short film, “Patsy.”
Rich Talarico is an established writer/producer best known for his work as a writer for Key & Peele. Rich wrote K&P favorites like Substitute Teacher, Racist Zombies, Karim and Jahar, Hatz, Teaching Center, Obama Greets, Black Ice and more. Rich wrote and produced on MADtv, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Saturday Night Live, and the critically acclaimed Review. He also wrote and performed in five original sketch comedy revues for The Second City. He served as an improv coach on the first Anchorman film and did punch-ups on Mean Girls and the Oscar-winning Get Out. Rich co-created the long-form improv shows “Strap Heads,” “Trio,” “Close Quarters,” and “Dasariski,“ and played with the early casts of Chicago’s longest-running improv show, “The Armando Diaz Experience”.
Mike MacRae developed his trademark style of blending impressions and traditional stand-up since his start in Houston in 1999. Mike’s television debut was on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” in 2001 and he has since performed on “The Late Show with David Letterman”, and was a full cast member on the TBS sketch show “Frank TV”. Mike has been a part of the Master’s Showcase at the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival and has also performed at the SXSW, and Moontower, As a regular on the “Bob and Tom Show” he has toured theaters across the country as part of their All-Stars Tour, and has most recently toured opening for Patton Oswalt and Mike Birbiglia. Mike has been a writer/performer for The Jimmy Dore Show, and has contributed to Doug Loves Movies,Rooster Teeth, and Master Pancake Theater. As a voice-over performer, Mike’s distinctive voices and impressions have been heard on the Howard Stern Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim’s “Mike Tyson Mysteries”, Showtime’s “Our Cartoon President”, as well as scores of anime titles from ADV Films. Mike has voiced such video games as Kingdom Hearts III, Toy Story 3, Where the Water Tastes Like Wine, and he is regularly featured in the DC Universe Online and KingsIsle Entertainment.
Rochelle McConico is a visionary, writer, producer, and performer. In June 2020, Rochelle launched the Amuse-Bouche Comedy Festival in New Orleans. In 2022, she followed up by co-founding, programming, performing and co-headlining the Lysistrata Comedy Festival, an all femme comedy festival, in New Orleans. Notably she has performed improv at the New York Comic Con (2022), Black and Funny Ocean City Festival (2022), and Baton Rouge Improv Festival (2022); sketch in the Dallas Comedy Festival (2018) and the Los Angeles Diversity in Comedy Showcase (2019), and stand-up in the the Black Girl Giggles Festival (2018) and Tower City Comedy Festival (2022). Rochelle also appeared at Austin Sketchfest (2022) and in Moontower Comedy Festival (2023).
