Texas Songwriter U: Saxon Showcase
Jack Ingram followed by our 8 Texas Songwriter U songwriters, Sunday, February 11, 2:30-4:30 PM. These 8 selected songwriting finalists from across Texas will entertain guests with a performance in the round at Austin’s famed listening room The Saxon Pub. Tickets: $10 per person at the door.
This Year’s Finalists are Abbey Cabler, John Dempsy, Billie Jo Jones, Luke Levenson, Charlie McCabe, Philip Morgan, Morgan Lee Powers, and Natalie Price.
Host Jack Ingram will open the show alongside multi-GRAMMY Award-winning mentor Liz Rose and former TXSU winner and writer of hit “Heart Like A Truck,” Trannie Anderson!
The audience will be filled with music industry leaders, notable artists, and songwriting fans, so come on out early for it will fill up fast.
About Us: Texas Songwriter U (TxSU) is an annual songwriting discovery and development program comprised of a songwriting competition, educational workshop, and showcase event. Founded in 2014, the mission of TxSU serves to identify, develop and support the best adult songwriters in Texas, while improving upon the quality and quantity of professional songwriting across our state. Texas Songwriter U is a 501(c)(3) non-profit fully supported with the help of American country music artist Jack Ingram, Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), and The Texas Heritage Songwriters’ Association.
