  1. I came to Austin for my bachelorette party and told my friends all I wanted to do was go on a bike ride wearing flower crowns. They made it happen! And it was such a blast!

I thought we would just jump on the B-cycles around town where you can take the bikes and put them back. But they booked a tour with Barton Springs Bike (Peace Love and Zilker). Our tour guides were Steven and Santiago. They were so patient with us and helped take photos and videos. Flower crowns made the ride all the more epic. We visited the Barton Springs Pool, Zilker Park, and Lady Bird Lake Boardwalk.

The ride was about 90 minutes and it was plenty! I don’t think we would have lasted any longer in the Austin heat/humidity. Highly recommend Barton Springs Bike Rental. Thank you for such a great experience!

  2. If you want to rent bikes to go around Lady Bird Lake I would recommend this place. They had several types of bikes from $7-25 and hour. We got the hybrid with gears for $12 and hour and worked well on the all terrain gravel of the lake. Being on a busy street to get to the park luckily was short. The ride around this beautiful lake was priceless!

  3. If you’re looking to rent out a bike, totally visit this shop!! The men at this shop are super friendly and cool. They picked us up in a shuttle from our apartment, took us to their shop to get fitted for a bike and then we took off. Made it back before they closed and they shuttled us back. I just loved the vibe inside the shop and how cool they were. Totally worth it, my husband appreciated the adventure as well. Biked along the trail, the boardwalk stopped for some tacos at Torcys and then headed back. What a nice day to go for a bike ride!!

  4. Spent the weekend in Austin and of course needed some bikes to ride around in the city! The guy (who I wish I knew his name) was super helpful and very nice! We had the bikes for most of the day and the process to drop them off was easy! Definitely recommended!

  5. Super friendly staff, good rates too – one of the few places in the city with consistent pricing during SXSW.

  6. These guys were wonderful. Renting the bikes was quick and simple. They gave us great pointers on our map. When we came back they check us in and gave us a deal. Very friendly.

  7. I was only in town for a few days from out of state, and I researched a lot to find the absolute best things to do while in Austin. When just comparing bike tours in Austin, Barton Springs was already well ahead. In regards to reviews, I almost had no choice but to pick them.

I went in the morning without a reservation, but I was very well taken care of. They set us, myself and 9 year old daughter, up with the proper bikes and adjustments. They adapted to her age and didn’t bore her to death with too much history.

The tour itself was beautiful, informative, and fun. Great views, lots of picture opportunities, and all the spots you will want to make!

    Thanks again guys!

  8. My boyfriend and I did the tour that stops at bars on Rainy St. We had the most amazing time. Our tour guide was informative, helpful, and down to earth. I highly recommended renting from here!

  9. We had a great time with Sasha and Stevie. They took our group of 7 all over Austin and we got to see a bunch of the sites that our family members were interested in.

Not only were the tour guides amazing but one person wasn’t comfortable continuing so Stevie called a shuttle to bring her back to the shop and the owner made sure she was ok and spent time with her while we finished our tour.

Between going above and beyond to take care of everyone and providing a great tour this is THE place you need to go for seeing the city.

  10. My friend and I needed help adjusting the seats on bikes we had picked up at our Airbnb–these guys were super helpful and friendly, went out of their way to adjust our seats and then give picking advice/map. Recommend!

  11. Excellent prices, services, and bike options. As others have mentioned, you get a trail map with your rental and it’s only one block from the very scenic bike trail around the lake/springs. They even provide free parking for your vehicle. This was our favorite thing we did on our Austin trip! Highly recommended

  12. Great bike rental place. Staff is super friendly. Small parking lot to leave your car. They are right across the street from access to the trail around the lake.
