Been going there for over a year now for non-hipster beard trims and Erica C is my go to girl. She takes great care of me and always asks if we need to do anything differently and makes sure that I am satisfied before I leave.

A favorite of mine from way back. I’m glad to see that my 6 years away from Austin have not changed the personality, style, or quality for the worse. I’ve never gotten a haircut here that I haven’t loved, and the prices are still reasonable. I will go out of my way on my visits to Austin to use this place.

I can’t say that my opinion of the whole experience is wholly unaffected by the free beer, but I’m pretty sure I’d love it even if they didn’t liquor me up before my haircut.

Was in from out of town and nervous as all hell to let someone other than my regular barber trim my beard but birds absolutely killed it. So amazing. Crazy cheap.

I’ve been going to Birds for a couple of years for my haircuts. Today I went to the East 6th location because I recently moved closer and decided I should try it out for the first time.

I think this is my fav.

The Receptionist was super nice and helpful (I called ahead to get my name on the list). The shop itself is in a little old building and feels smaller than the rest, which I like. The music wasn’t too loud and there weren’t very many people waiting. Also, thank you for my Ruby Redbird!

What really sold me though–of course– was my hairdresser Elle. She not only gave me a badass haircut, but I felt like she really enjoyed her job and gave me her honest opinion on how I should be growing out my hair since that’s my end goal. I’ve been getting it “re-shaped” since it’s in that awkward stage, and today was the first time in almost a year that I came home totally excited about my new haircut!

I had an awesome first experience and I’m looking forward to going here the next time I need a haircut.

Birds Barbershop makes my hair funkier and trendier. I would show the hairstylist a photo of the hairstyle I want. Majority of the time hairstylists would copy the same exact thing on the page. That’s fine by me but here, they know how to take it to the next level.

My recent hairstyle, I had so many compliments I told them where I had my haircut. I can never imagine going anywhere else and their prices are reasonable.

I guess they do take reservations but you need to call on the same day and a couple of hours or two in advance. Otherwise you will be waiting there for awhile. But then again you are on 6th Street where you can probably hit up a trailer and/or a dive bar.
