The staff provided good service and very friendly. There is daily specials. Food was good. Not bad spot to get a bit to eat.

This is a small often overlooked gem in central Austin. I’ve always had great service from Joseph. Even when the place is packed, he makes sure to check in with every costumer. A few weeks ago I had some friends in town and we wanted to grab a quick (paleo) bite to eat, so we headed to docs. They have an amazing selection of “hippie tacos” that are wrapped in bib lettuce and sooooo tasty. They also have your typical pub food (hot wings, burgers, etc) which I’m told are delicious.

Another big perk of Docs that I feel the need to mention is the noise level. Too often I go into a crowded pub where the food and service is good, but I have to shout to the person next to me to be heard. That never happens at Docs.

Doc’s will always have a place in my heart because they have my favorite fried pickles. If you’re looking for decent bar food & a patio, Docs is a solid choice.

The food is solid chance fare, great happy hour deals, and the bartender Ron and manager Steve make everyone feel welcome. If you want to watch a sporting event this is a great place to cheer on any team. You will get some friendly ribbing from the other costumers, but that’s what sports are about. If you want to live in a vacuum I would suggest staying home!

Standard sports bar look with focus on beer. I didn’t try the food, but this place seems like the spot for some good bar food while watching a game. They have different specials each day of the week and plenty of happy hour deals too. The facilities were cleaner than expected and the local beer selection was on point.

A staple for visiting Austin. Staff is always great. Love the outdoor funky seating and the relaxed atmosphere. Bloody Mary real good. The burgers are great…a mix of brisket and chuck. Really flavorful. Love the American salad with pecans. Great guac, too.

My partner and I visit Doc’s maybe three times a month and we are never disappointed. Cold beer, frozen margaritas, incredible appetizers, and service that exceeds expectations. Patrick, one of our regular waiters, has a fun attitude and even remembers what we normally order.
The prices are responsible and the portions meet our needs. I am not a fan of too much food or too little food so, as Goldie Locks would say, “This is just right.”
Tip: Bar top tables in the bar area are generally free of the babies in the bar. I love children, but sometimes “free range” parents are not as attentive as they should be with the little ones leaving chaos and mischief in their path.
