Austin original restaurant & bar in the trendy Domain “Rock Rose” entertainment district Rooftop bar with craft cocktails and a menu that ranges from jalepeno mac n cheese, to chicken and waffle sliders, to the now famous Dogwood burger, which is topped with fried green tomatoes, applewood smoked bacon and white queso. The delicious food options can always be washed down with an ice cold Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka poured straight from a frosted ice tap.

Natural stone and wood run throughout the spacious interior and brings you through floor to ceiling walk-throughs into gorgeous open air patios. The state of the art audio and visual equipment are pre-wired for any event. An abundance of HD screens and a top notch sound system make The Dogwood a perfect place for game day as well as any and all sporting events.

Bottom line, we are just simple people looking to simply show everyone a good time. Come thirsty. Come Hungry. Grab your friends and come check us out. Check out our other location on West 6th Street.

  1. Great bar! This location is much nicer than their downtown location. It’s two stories with bars on each level of course. The vibe on the top floor feels more like a straight up bar and the first floor has more of a club-like feel.

  2. This is such a nice spot for anything really, relaxed drinks, good food, or even some partying. Have been here twice and each time very impressed with the quality of the food. They do amazing salads, I always opt for the house salad and then do the add one, last night I added the steak it was so good, very tender not at all like the usual steak that comes with a salad so highly recommended!
However unfortunately their queso and chips are far too salty, and together it’s like a salt bomb exploding in ur mouth, and especially for someone who hates salt I would definitely steer clear their salsa not too good either. But their mains and salads very good!
Also not very consistent with their cocktails we ordered the violet rose and it came with no flower inside a vey light color, a couple of hours later our friend ordered it and got what looked like a completely different cocktail! It has a floating flower and much deeper purple color!
Their rose spritzers are great and are quite large pours! Overall a very pleasant place that even though busy always seems to remain chill, yet buzzing with atmosphere and full of fun people!

  3. We held a company team event at the Dogwood recently and it was fantastic. Brittany took care of everything and it was coordinated perfectly! Great upstairs venue, good food and drinks, and reasonably priced. Thanks again Brittany!

  4. So while the entire area is truly a fabricated atmosphere in the middle of a shopping center, the Dogwood actually had some character. It was just cool. The douche bag level was low and the bartenders weren’t slutty, just good. Good drinks, fast, and they took the second or two to learn your name. Easily a great chill out place.

  5. Great food and fun atmosphere! I had the nachos and my husband had the chicken and waffle sandwich! It was amazing! Great portions! The fries were absolutely AMAZING!!!

  6. My first stop during my visit to Austin. I love that they have a rooftop. So it’s perfect for a nice Austin day. We stopped in for lunch. We got queso to start. And it was pretty good.

I had the chicken and waffles and it was really good. The chicken was seasoned very well. I loved it. So good. Not much else to say

Pretty cool place to hang out and sip on some drinks. Our server was very attentive, I wish I could remember her name. But not a bad place at all. I definitely was full for awhile too. I just wished the day I visited was a warmer day. So maybe, I’ll be back to visit on a sunnier day.

Definitely would recommend Dogwood if you are in the area.
