  1. What a cute lil place, very popular! The place was packed, which died down after about 20 min there but it was getting late and colder. The light show was good, the hot chocolate hit the spot and the brownie I had was really soft and chocolatey. There was also a guy on a keyboard playing live music when the light show wasn’t going. The bathroom was a bit small for the capacity of ppl and my toilet didn’t flush so that could be an issue..

They had various “quick stands” throughout the shop serving hot coffee and pastries to cut down on the lines in the main shop. I think they were well prepared for the crowd.

  2. Really great atmosphere. Great desserts and coffees Right by the water where there’s ducks and an occasional swan LOL. This is a fun place to gather with friends and enjoy the breeze from Lake Austin. The desserts are to die for! They have lots of seasonal beverages for you to look through. Ample parking just up the hill for busy weekends. The place is always packed with lots of students and people working , But check out the lower deck for a great view.

P.S They have a great light show during Christmas holidays!

  3. This was a great little coffee shop, the view is absolutely gorgeous. This is also one of the largest coffee roasters I’ve ever seen. They have a huge storefront, both in and out. The outdoor patio is beautiful decorated around a beautiful tree and overlooking the lake. The desserts, lattes and tea were the perfect touch for this evening.

  4. My boyfriend and I were looking for a nearby coffee shop and I’m so glad we found this place. Mozart’s is a total hidden beauty. With amazing views of the lake, stunning light designs, free WiFi and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered a very delicious vanilla latte, fruit tart and pecan pie.
When I’m back in Austin I will 100% be back at Mozarts!!

  5. “Ahhhhhh.” That’s the sound you’ll surely make as you sit with your beverage of choice on the back patio facing the lake on a sunny day. There are fans overhead, so even on a warm day your relaxation game will still be strong. For many, the study game was strong (I don’t miss those days).

The cappuccino was good, the chocolate espresso shake great. I had to exercise restraint to not order the delightful pastries, such as the single-serve pies. But Mozart’s is all about location, location, location. Whatever your purpose there, it’ll surely feel like a mini-vacation.

The outdoor bathrooms feel a little public beach-y, but maybe that’s part of the charm?

  6. Here’s a short story about how the most beautiful coffee shop in Austin continues to surprise, innovate, and provide some serious value.

It’s no secret that there are so many coffee shop choices in Austin. How do you compete with some amazing spots? Well, you have to have a fundamentally great business that people return to again and again. Mozart’s is that business. Even if you took away the amazing lake view location, Mozart’s would still kill.

The pastries, holy shit guys, the dessert department at this place is like a mini gourmet Little Debbie factory. There’s always hundreds of delicate cupcakes, pies, mousses, and cakes. If you have a sweet tooth, you won’t find a better place to satisfy your vices.

They have an intense cold brew section, multiple lines of coffees daily, and even smoothies! They need all this stuff each day, too because they get busy. No matter what time of day, there’s a ton of people here. The only thing I don’t love, is that their strawberry smoothie tastes artificial. Kinda like strawberry big league chew. Just skip it, there are so many other things that you can get. Like hundreds.

  7. Love studying here because of the atmosphere and how it’s on the water. However the food is quite pricey and there’s not many outlets to study near, especially by the water. I do however enjoy the bottomless coffee deals that are available. I can imagine that would be helpful for long study sessions. I can only drink a few though but I think it’s well worth the money to drink the bottomless coffee! I tried their lemon poppy seed cake and tbh I didn’t enjoy it very much. It was pretty dry and the flavor wasn’t all there. The chocolate strawberries are just average, and overpriced for the quality of chocolate that they use. I’m thinking the bakery is overpriced but it’s a nice place to study regardless.

  8. Such a cute cafe that overlook Lake Austin. This place was highly recommended when we were planning our Austin trip. Love everything about this place from the outside, inside, and to the deck. One issue was the parking but we were lucky to find a spot as someone was leaving.

You can order inside and go out on the deck. Everyday is literally summer but the view of the lake was worth the heat. Honestly, it wasn’t as hot siting outside maybe if you’re used to the Texas heat. They have various wooden tables and benches. We opted for those seats since it has a close view of the lake.

I ordered the mochacinno. A combination of a mocha and frap. The girl at the front said it was their latest creation. It was pretty good and perfect for the weather. This place is definitely a great spot for tourists to check out or just stop by as a rest stop and enjoy a great view of the lake.
