  1. OTBC is awesome!  The general mgr, Aaron, helped me set-up a little 40th birthday party for my husband.  He was so flexible and helpful.  The atmosphere is so great with incredible view, quality music, huge fire pits, pool table, and bag toss.  The food was great as well.  My only suggestion is to speed up the beer line…helps to just go ahead and purchase pitchers.  We will definitely be back!

  2. The drinks and food are great! The atmosphere is unbeatable. The BLT and sweat potato fries is what I got for dinner and let me tell you the presentation was way more elegant than I thought. It’s the perfect location for a romantic dinner date or just a good time hanging with friends!

  3. This place is absolutely amazing. The view is out of this world. The beer and the food is delicious. I can’t say enough great things about it!

  4. This place is BEAUTIFUL, well worth the drive from downtown Austin if you like to enjoy a beer flight with a spectacular view. Didn’t try any of the food but we had a flight of 8 different beers and they were all pretty good. Great music, super laid back environment perfect for groups big and small.

  5. Amazing view from here!

Beer is great and plenty of selections to choose from. I like the order and pay as you go beer and food.

The hours are a tad bit off and I’ve had to walk away before, only after making it to the entry gate on the second floor and seeing a closed for brewing sign posted.

Live DJ on certain days and plenty of area to hang out. Still love that view of Lake Travis!

  6. What a view, this place is truly a gem in Austin looking over lake Travis, it’s a brewer with a variety of IPAs, you could get a sample of each one by ordering a flight which I believe is 7 beers to sample, we also got the duck poutine, not bad but by definition not a real poutine but still good, the view is what gets this place a 5 star, they have a fire pit for the chilly night and lots of patio seating

  7. Same great view as the Oasis, but much better drinks and food, the addition of live music, a nice firepit, lighter crowds and an easy decision to visit compared to it’s neighbor.

They’ve got samplers of their beers on the happy hour menu with 3 beers and 3 sliders with a mini wagyu burger, chicken sandwhich and pork burger, or you can try the 8 beer sampler as well.   Lots of selection and of the 5 or so beers I sampled, all were really crisp, clean, and well made with no off flavors or flaws and each with their own style and flavors.

We also shared the duck poutine with a fried egg, and while it was really rich and tasty, it was unfortunately a bit too salty.   The wagyu burger was quite good and I would happily get that as a meal next time I’m here.

Views were great at sunset and it most tables were full on the balcony, with some empty seats scattered about further away from the ledge, with lots of seating available inside.  No lengthy lines over a couple minutes waiting for beer, and service was solid.   The large firepit with roughly 10 adirondack style lounging chairs looked like a great spot to hang out, and it would be a great area for groups as there is ample room to sit and hang out.

There is a nice selection of canned wines, and the pinot noir I tried is served in a 12 oz can, or 2.5 glasses roughly, and was really enjoyable too.

Fantastic spot with some good food, great views and awesome beer.  Definitely worth the drive out, and there are happy hour specials to make the decision even easier!

  8. Rolling up to this place can be a little confusing as they seem to have built a whole boardwalk type thing complete with parking garages.  But it’s a fairly short walk from anywhere you park up to the second floor in the corner of the structure (make sure you look down at all the FUN things embedded in the concrete stairs!)

It’s expansive, lots of indoor and outdoor seating areas, views of the hill country or the lake, two bars (only one with food!) and a music stage.  We caught the Cowboys-Packers playoff game and it was a perfectly pleasant experience (mostly because we had no horse in the race though, my Texans were eliminated already!)  Love the variety of seating; we started off at a regular table but moved to swivel bar seats by the larger TV by the pool table in the back.  The purse hooks were SOLID and much appreciated.

We ordered “it’s like quack” (receive a buzzer, pick it up when it turns flashy) – essentially a duck poutine.  It was very sizeable, good enough for a single person’s meal or a hefty snack for two to share.  And delicious to boot – perfect beer food.

Oh yes, there was beer too.  I’ve had the 4 mainstays canned, but opted for the 8-beer flight anyway to try them on draft.  Meta modern has now taken the lead in my heart over slow ride, but both are good!  Wasn’t terribly keen on the seasonals I had but the xmas spiced dubbel wasn’t bad.  They also have half pints and pints available, something for every tolerance which equals LOVE for me.

  9. Wow… With the view/atmosphere this place has, I think the beer would have to be pretty disgusting not to get a 5 star review. Oasis Brewing is probably the coolest brewery (that hasn’t been one of the larger, Dogfish Head/Harpoon scales) that I’ve been to.

First of all.. the area, Oasis, feels like is own little town although the address is Austin. It was a bit of a hike out of the city. Well worth it though.

The brewery is on the 3rd floor of the complex, I guess you could call it. It has an unbelievable view of Lake Travis! We had heard that sunset was the perfect time to go and that couldn’t be more true. We timed it perfectly. I would have to say this is one of the best views I have ever seen, if not THE best (seriously). Not to mention the brewery has a lot going for it! Tons of space with cool garage doors, cornhole boards, the works. Also the whole complex looks like some sort of fortress if you were viewing from the lake. The infrastructure of this thing is incredible.

Oh and the beer I had, a brown ale, was good. Usually that is really important to me, but the intangibles seemed to beat out the beer this time. I hope to return one day… Soon…

  10. I can sum up my experience in three words: views, brews, and boo’s. But, since I don’t know when to shut up, I’ll elaborate.

My boyfriend and I decided late, last night to go to Oasis Brewing Company and catch the sunset over Lake Austin. If you’ve ever been up here, you know the view is nothing short of spectacular. Typically it’s seen dining at the Oasis and chomping down on mediocre Tex-Mex and enjoying boozy margaritas, but Oasis Brewing Company is coming in hot with a fresh, new option to enjoy this gorgeous part of Austin.

Their beers are all over the craft beer scene in Austin, but there’s nothing that can compare to getting it fresh from the source. They have a great, diverse menu and a charming staff that makes the drive seem trivial. Their space is laid out to maximize sitting overlooking Lake Austin, so if you’re lucky you’ll get a place right up front. It’s breathtaking. Seriously, I’m not sure there’s a better place to enjoy a beer in Austin.
