  1. The queso here is good, but you come here for the pizza. The pizza is very good and the 10″ is good for two if y’all wanna eat light-adjacent.

  2. Pizza & beer.. both were perfect. This place is popular and crowded even during weekdays.

Parking can become bit tough to find.

  3. This place is epic. Great food and even better beer. The atmosphere is awesome and the staff is well trained and all around just good people. Everyone is kind and friendly and you can easily tell they are happy to come to work here.

  4. Super cool place. Very busy but lots of seating and no long lines or long waits. Great of outdoor seating too to escape some of the noise. Very kid friendly.

They do traditional pizza really well. Non-traditional, left something to be desired. I’d get a normal meat-and-cheese next time and skip the goat cheese, pesto, garlic pizza.

We each got a small, really reasonably priced. He ate his whole pie, I ate half of mine.

We got the queso as a started, I had heard good things. It wasn’t my favorite, I wish I would have tried another one of the apps.

For a place that advertises thin crust, we were pleased that it was still very fluffy! Not crispy and not super floppy either. Thin but great, very impressed with it overall.

  5. Pinthouse pizza hasn’t even been around a decade, yet it’s already attained a well-earned status as an Austin classic. I can’t pretend to be well versed in the pizza snobbery of east coasters, but I do know Pinthouse ranks high in quality and flavor compared to other local pizza options. Combined with a perpetually energetic, cheerful atmosphere and a wonderful selection of craft beers and you’d have to work hard not to enjoy a dinner here.

I’d also like to call out the wonderful staff! The line moves quickly, the beer pours expertly, and staff members skillfully and cheerfully manage what can be a pretty hectic crowd. Yesterday I’d ordered pizzas for pickup but when I arrived at the designated time something had gone wrong in the kitchen and the food wasn’t ready. Mistakes happen, but the staff was not only highly apologetic but without my asking or complaining offered me a generous gift card for what little trouble it caused me. To me that’s a clear sign of a business who cares, and the pizzas came out beautiful as ever just a few minutes later!

  6. Such a fun casual vibe to grab a beer and eat pizza! Just go up to the counter or bar and order whatever you want. Then grab a seat and wait for your buzzer to let you know when your food is ready to be picked up at the counter. It’s typically packed with quite a few people ranging from families with young children to just anyone who wants to chill and have a good time. They also host trivia nights with different themes every once in a while, which is a lot of fun to compete in!

Pizza here is more of a thin crust and always served hot and fresh! A lot of people like to utilize the ample table space to play board games as well. This is definitely a go-to hip hangout spot.

  7. Always a hit. The ooh la la is my soul pizza. The parking has improved slightly since they made more space in the back, but it’s still a pain. Worth it though! I never have to wait a long time despite the huge crowds this place always draws. I’m not a beer gal, so I wish that they had cocktails, but I get the appeal of beer and pizza. I wish they delivered

  8. One of my favorite local pizza places in Austin! The pizzas we ordered were all delicious (the works, margherita, banh mi, honey pear, and the armadillo) and enough for four people with a few slices left over. Service on Sunday night was quick as we only waited a max of 10 minutes for the pizza to arrive. The only downside is parking can be a bit of a hassle. There aren’t enough parking spots even when considering the lot behind their building hence the subtraction of one star.

  9. Heard lots of good things about this pizza and brew place and I finally went. It’s spacious and their customer service is definitely above average. Pizzas were good but I didn’t get to try their brew since I was still on duty. I’ll be back.

  10. Been here a couple times, never been disappointed. The atmosphere is super relaxed and comfortable, but it can get a little crowded during peak hours, so finding adjacent seats for a large group might be hard.

I got the ooh la la pizza and it was insanely good — there’s honey on it so it’s got that sweet and salty action going on. My friend had the cannonball which seemed to be a meatlover’s pizza — also really good.

This place is always a solid option, would highly recommend!

  11. One of my favorite places for pizza. I like a thicker crust so this place is perfect. They have a lot of different specialty pizzas and lots of creative toppings on their pizzas, but rest assured it’s good. Parking here isnt too bad. They have lots of spots in the lot next to it. There is also a lot of seating and I’ve never had to wait too long to order.
I came here on a Sunday for lunch and got their lunch special (side salad + 10″ pizza + drink) for a reasonable $12. It’s actually such a good deal I was a little surprised. We didnt have to wait too long for our order. The salads came out first. I got the pinthouse salad. Then almost like it was perfectly timed, as soon as I finished my salad, the pizzas came out. I loved both the salad and pizza. I got the Hoe Down pizza. As a vegetarian, there are a few options and of course you can always make your own. Loved this place and all the flavors are great. Will be coming back next time I have a pizza craving!

  12. This place has my two favorite things and they do them really well: pizza and beer. 5 stars for them both!

The beer – mega das. A plethora of taps awaits you along the north wall: some brewed in house, and others from all around the country.

The pizza – also mega das. They are fairly priced large portions with a broad enough selection of classic, or specialty pizzas and toppings to please most palates.

I’m always tempted to try the monthly specialty pizza, but I tend to stick with my favorites, the Pepperoni and Basil pizza and the Calma Muerta session pale ale.

If I didn’t like the pizza and beer so much, the following could demote 1 star. Inside is usually packed and loud, so you may need to poach a table while someone else in your group stands in line to order. Parking can also be tricky.

Pro tips: Order pizza at the bar if you want beer. Another great way to enjoy PHP is carry out with a growler fill.
