  1. I live in California in LA. I was excited to go to Austin, TX on a vacation with my wife and two friends this January. Why not see it all. For me, I wanted to have Texas brisket. My wife got a tip to try “County Line On The Lake.” We drove there and parked the car. My wife wanted a picture of the group and met the Jeremy Hood, the Manager, changing the billboard. We talked to him and he took our pictures. Jeremy was interested with our group and learned we were on an anniversary for our vacation. Jeremy said that he will set up the best waiter, Johnny. (I hope that’s correct).

Johnny helped us through the menu with his Texas speech and humor. The four of us ordered different food. I’ll just tell you mine. It was a “Triple.” I ordered brisket, sausage and pulled pork and potato salad, coleslaw, and beans. It was delicious! I was a clean plater.

It wasn’t over yet. Out comes two deserts. My favorite bread pudding, and banana pudding.

    Great food and great hospitality.

  2. This place is so good! I love the country vibes and the lake is absolutely beautiful. The ribs are my favorite. My boyfriend took me here and I gotta say I’m very impressed.

  3. Yummy bbq. Excellent and friendly service. Big parking lot. Great atmosphere next to the water. Bring some quarters to buy feed for the fish and turtles!

  4. Delicious bbq and beautiful deck area in the back. This ATX staple is a must do for visitors and locals alike! The spring is my favorite time to visit, because the fish, turtles and ducks are really active. Perfect for large groups. A great place to bring children. Amazing food! The whole wheat loaf with honey butter is a must!

  5. Everybody should already know about the BBQ and Texas Toast here, as County Line is an Austin fixture. I wanted to write about the Old Fashioned cocktail that I had last night.

The bartender used a Texas Rye Whiskey — I unfortunately forgot which one — but the spiciness really worked with the deep, sweet, autumn flavor of the pecan orgeat and chocolate bitters. What really struck me, though, was how well the orange garnish was worked into the glass. The glass was redolent of fresh orange from the first sip to the last. Really well made.

  6. YUMMY! Was in Austin for a work event and a few co workers wanted to grab dinner after work and this place was suggested. So worth it! They have a cute patio area you can sit on that overlooks the river; very peaceful. Beer was great, had the 512 IPA and then ordered the 3 meat dinner with Pulled Pork, Brisket, and Sausage – Yep… ate it all! Meat was perfect. Oh, and the warm BBQ sauce on the side was the perfect finish to everything. Would highly recommend if you’re in this area.

Service was great as well! 5 stars!

  7. I’ve been to loads of all you can eat Korean bbq before, but this is my first time going to an all you can eat Texas bbq! It’s a bit pricey, but I definitely think it’s worth the experience and it’s a whole load of food!

I think it’s safe to say that everyone’s favorite was the brisket. The meat melts into your mouth and when you reach over to grab another slice, turns out that it’s already gone! At least that’s how popular and endangered it was at our table haha.

Also, usually when I go to all you can eat kbbq, I tend to skip the chicken because of how bland and filling it can be. It may still be filling here, but it was far from bland. The flavors were really wonderful and was one of my favorite parts of the meal.

There’s a whole lot of other meat we had that helped filled us up to the top, but the side dishes made everything even tastier! The potato salad never stayed in one spot for long.

Once we were done (and gobbled down free blue bell ice cream for dessert), we wandered to the back where there were several families of turtles and fishes enjoying their life in the lake.

    A really fun time overall!

  8. Came here last night with a large party to celebrate a graduation. We made a reservation through Resy and had no issues with getting seating. They gave a table with a gorgeous lake view. We ordered family style and it was all amazing especially the potato salad, 2nd cut brisket and pork ribs. We got some of the homemade whole wheat bread and oh my gosh, it’s to die for. Even the peach cobbler (which I usually hate because it’s wet and cakey) was insanely good (more like peach pie which was fantastic). Our server Matt did an awesome job and we were being checked on often without it being over the top. Overall we had a wonderful experience with the food, service & atmosphere. We will be back ASAP!

  11. Great view! Right by the river, lovely place to enjoy great BBQ meal. Love their soft bread, sausage, brisket, coleslaw and cheesecake. Ribs are though, not fall off the bones. Beans and potatoes salad are average. Soda is surprisingly expensive. Friendly service, great view and ambient make this a great BBQ place to visit, especially on a lovely Sunday morning.

  12. Haven’t eaten here in many, many, many years. Use to eat at County line every time my grandmother was visiting. Today I decided to order and pick up for lunch and it was AAAAAmmmaaazzzing!! Just like I remembered, maybe a little better. No wait, placed my order online and it was ready sooner than anticipated. Friendly service all around. Thank you County Line for making my work day Lunch that much better!

  13. I am new to Austin, so we came to county line after coming from lake Travis which I so happy to find this cute little spot.

I ALWAYS bring out of town family to this spot. Most of the time we have a lot of children with us which this place can accommodate for a large group for inside and outside.

GO EAT OUTSIDE its beautiful! They have a large area for sitting and relaxing. Do bring a camera,

SO for the food. I love to eat family style with a large group of 4 to 10. I think the food portions are big for myself so we always split everything. They have beef ribs which I have never seen before. The homemade bread is a must. The BBQ is smoked which my Aunt did not care for but I like but being burnt is not okay.

My kids love to see and feed the turtles WHICH DO BRING quarters!

OVERALL I come here to bring out of town family and friends because of the location and the texas style BBQ. We usually go to the lake then come here for lunch.
