Live Music: Jack Fister’s Wildlife

5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Jack Fister is an Austin-area country singer-songwriter, guitarist, and honky-tonk bandleader whose music blends traditional country, blues, and Americana with deeply personal storytelling.

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Fister first played in the city’s punk and garage rock scenes before discovering that country music’s honesty and narrative style better matched his own songwriting voice.

After years of touring, hitchhiking, and busking across the country, he settled in Central Texas and became an integral part of Austin’s thriving honky-tonk community.

Inspired by artists such as Townes Van Zandt, Willie Nelson, and classic country greats, Fister developed a distinctive fingerpicked guitar style
