Live Music: Sudden Deaf

Sudden Deaf is an Austin-based heavy metal band offering up powerful blend of classic heavy metal, hard rock, and modern metal influences. Formed just before the pandemic, the band built momentum through energetic live performances at Austin venues.

Drawing inspiration from legendary bands like Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy, and Motörhead, Sudden Deaf combines twin-guitar riffs, soaring vocals, thunderous rhythms, and melodic songwriting into a sound they simply describe as “heavy rock.”

Their music also reflects influences from modern metal acts while staying rooted in the classic traditions of the genre.
