Boyfriend is a multidisciplinary performer, writer, and producer known for sharp lyricism, bold theatricality, and socially charged storytelling. Since emerging in 2012, she has contributed to releases by Charli XCX, Troye Sivan, and Kesha, and appeared on recordings with Lil Wayne, Big Freedia, and Pussy Riot. She has earned acclaim from Rolling Stone for her live performances and is featured in the Grammy-winning documentary Jazz Fest: A New Orleans Story. Her latest release is the musical concept album In the Garden.
