Stupid F*cking Rich People
Let’s start the year off with a comedy that holds no punches and bares all the teeth! “Stupid Fucking Rich People” is an improvised comedy of manners that explores the lives and thoughts(?) of some of the most delightfully insufferable dim wits, dullards, and dip shits on earth. Featuring a star-studded cast of Austin’s veteran improv talents, this show has it all – physical comedy, wit and word play for days, and catharsis and character flaws enough to soothe away your plebeian problems and sink into the warm bath of this beautiful bullshit.
“This show idea came to me about 10 years ago,” says director Kaci Beeler, “and when [Hideout Artistic Director] Roy Janik asked me what I was inspired to create after the past year – I knew I wanted to do something wildly fun, bright, and witty with a cathartic edge.”
Inspired by classic Comedy of Manners and Farce / Satire playwrights through the ages like Oscar Wilde, Georges Feydeau, Moliere and their more modern TV successors Fawlty Towers, Jeeves & Wooster, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Frasier, and so many more – this is a show for everyone 16+ (but probably not Bezos, Musk, Zuckerberg and their ilk
).
Saturdays at 7pm January 10th – February 7th, 2026.
Directed by B. Iden Payne and Austin Critics Table award-winning director Kaci Beeler.
