This is a really great “Keep Austin Weird” spot. Great drinks, amazing live music. Free crawfish with your drink the day we went which was great. Lots of cool vegan options like pizza and bakery. Plus tattoo shop. Really great place to visit if you’re from out of town to experience old Austin.

One of the most genuine and unforgettable bars in Austin!
Tweedy’s Bar is an absolute Austin classic and the kind of place that instantly captures your heart from the very first visit. The atmosphere is wonderfully unpretentious, warm and full of that real authentic Austin character that is becoming increasingly rare to find. The drinks are well priced and generously poured and the selection covers everything you could want for a great evening out. The staff is incredibly friendly, personable and creates a welcoming environment where everyone feels like a regular from the moment they walk through the door. Whether you are stopping in for a quick drink or settling in for a long and memorable night Tweedy’s Bar delivers an experience that is consistently genuine, fun and completely one of a kind. A true Austin treasure that I love and recommend wholeheartedly!
